Does anyone know what record label has Ambrosia signed?

It occurred to me that she would still be with ZOE because shivaree used to be with them and I'm assuming that they'd like to keep her.

that being said. i was wondering if Ambrosia hasn't released an album because she doesn't have a record label yet.

anyone know where we can check that?

WOW!! thank you so much for bringing that.

i wish i knew about these performances ahead of time (like a mount before) I would totally go to NY just to see her. I actually thought about going there to meet her. yeah, i'm really creepy. hahahhaa

It's really nice to see her alive and well. at least i know she's still around and hopefully still planning on releasing her CD.

I took the audio from the video and I "fixed" it up a tiny bit to make it sound a little nicer and as even as possible throughout the whole song. I've upload it for you guys. here is the link:

peace :)

Lots new stuff!!! Here is the update on our sweet Ambrosia Parsley.

Ambrosia seems to havenew things going on as listed on her Facebook account.

***New Manager: Julie Beth Phillips
***New Press Contact: Julie Beth Phillips - juliep@chrysalismusic.com
so it seems that Ambrosia will now be with http://www.chrysalismusic.com/ as her label and not with Zoe Records THOUGH THIS IS ONLY SPECULATION!

source: http://www.facebook.com/AmbrosiaParsley?v=info

Interesting enough, on the page i looked up Ambrosia Parsley and an article came up that you can read here:
http://chrysalismusicusa.com/2010/08/balloon-popping/

In that article Ambrosia is mentioned as a collaborating artist for a "Maximum Balloon" project that was released on Sept 21,2010. Ambrosia sang on a song called "Pink Bricks" and you can purchase the song on amazon and iTunes. here is the amazon link:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003VO ... B003VOVW6S

Well guys... The info and songs seem to start poring in so we should be prepared for new album hopefully in a very few months.

P.S. If anyone gets a chance, write to the publicist at the email above and ask about Ambrosia's possible release and see if we get any info. When i get a chance I'll do so my self as well.

Thanks Francisco. I got my copy from itunes. At first listen, I love the song as it is mainly Ambrosia singing, accompamied instumentally by Maximum Balloon. I have'nt listened to any of the other tracks on there (Ok I went and checked) - by far the best track on the album- or am I being biased?

I needed to make an update on this page because i made a mistake on one of Ambrosia's collaborations. In the first post (which I have corrected) i put that Ambrosia had participated in the song "Camellia" with the rock band Verbena. Apparently that is incorrect and the song that Ambrosia participated in is called "Ether" (in the same album "La Musica Negra"). The backing vocals in "camellia" are done by Emily Kokal and NOT by Ambrosia. As of now... the the Solo/Collaborations that we know of Ambrosia are as follows:

1. Ether - was released in the album "La musica negra" by Verbena on May 20, 2003.

2. I'll take the woods - was relased in the album "Enter the Mowo!" by Mocean Worker on April 6, 2004.

3. Everybody Came - was realsed in the album "For the Kids Too" by various artists on October 19, 2004.

4. Girls: Must be single and very pretty - was realeased in Esopus Magazine #6 tittled "Help Wanted" on May 1, 2006.

5. Counting - was released in the album "Songs of Sara P. Smith" in 2006.

6. Morning Light - was relased in the album "Songs of Sara P. Smith" in 2006.

7. You'd be surprised - was relased in the album "Your Language" by White Hassle on July 25, 2008.

8. Then Was Then and Now Is Now - was release in the album "The Best Is Yet To Come: The Songs Of Cy Coleman (2009)" (a tribute album to Cy Colman) by various artists on September 15, 2009

P.S. This also means that the file i uploaded had the same discrepancy. Here you can download the song "Ether": http://www.megaupload.com/?d=B6QU1NWB
Please feel free to correct anything stated above (if i have made a mistake).

I can't hear her singing on Ether, it's not a big part then?

Well Paul, this is what it comes down to... It looks like we're not 100% certain on where Ambrosia sings. I read from Wikipedia (which could also not be reliable) that Ambrosia sings the back up vocals for Ether and another named Emily Kokal does the backing vocal on Camellia (which i originally thought it was Ambrosia even though you can't fully tell since it's being covered by the lead singer). Here is the wiki info on that album: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Musica_Negra

Anyway, I looked up more info on that album "la musica negra" by verbena and I found a review that says that some girl named Anne Marie Griffin does the backing vocal on Camellia but at the same time, on that review it doesn't list album Griffin in the credits at all. I have a feeling this person didn't actually purchase the album and read the credits (though they may not be there). Here is a link to that review: http://www.artistdirect.com/nad/store/a ... 26,00.html

On a different review it says that the backing vocals in Camellia are indeed by Ambrosia Parsley (not Emily Kokal and not A. M. Griffin). here is the link: http://www.splendidmagazine.com/review. ... 2086159611

I think the only way to really find out would be to buy the physical album and look in the credits booklet. If i wasn't so tight on money right now i would do it. For me it's something that will have to wait. I wish I could be of more help but I'm stumped. I should not have taken the Wikipedia information so seriously. As for it being a small part... chances are it is a small part. One thing that all reviews and wiki have in common is that it is clear that Ambrosia does BACKING VOCALS and not a duet so it's bound to have very little or quite parts.

I don't know if you have , but I have sent an e-mail of to splendid magazines to see what the reviewer has to say on the subject above.

Update. It seems the e-mail address on there was a false one and so my e-mail coulod not be delivered to it.

On a quick note, if found some pretty decent MP3 files of the songs that Ambrosia did in Vancouver in Feb of 2010 for the Olympics (i think). It was for the Niel Young Project so clearly they are covers.
here is the link:
http://bigozine2.com/roio/?p=436

To download the songs just click on the songs by ambrosia. It will take you to a internet music player and all you have to do is right click on the "play" button and quick "save as" and it will save the mp3 file.

Enjoy guys and girls.
